It’s unclear whether the St Albans branch of Clintons is among the dozens being axed from their 330 stores.
In early November, Sky News released an article which read they had learnt that “Clintons wrote to landlords to invite them to a series of ‘town-hall’ meetings to discuss a possible Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA)”.
According to Sky News, the discussions will raise the prospect of Clintons axing dozens of its 330 UK stores during the coming months.
StAlbansNews reached out to Clintons to ask if the St Albans branch of Clintons will be or is at risk of closure.
In response, Eddie Shepherd, CEO of Clintons said: “We can confirm that we are in the process of inviting our landlord partners to a series of informal meetings to discuss the current financial position of the company and for them to consider whether they want to work with us through a CVA process.”
The latest Clinton’s restucturing proposal comes seven years after it collapsed into administration.
