Appeal for witnesses after criminal damage in Abbots Langley

Published on: 20th October 2017   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a recent spate of criminal damage in Abbots Langley where six windows were damaged. The offences occurred between Wednesday December 3 and Thursday December 4. The glass in four front windows were smashed in Gallows Hill after an object, believed to be a stone, was thrown at them. Two further windows were broken in Kindersley Way and Hazelwood Lane. Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant for Abbots Langley, Neil Canning said: “We believe these incidents occurred between 9am on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday. “These are completely mindless acts which have left the victims with the inconvenience of having to replace their windows at a great cost. “We are conducting a number of enquiries to identify who was responsible, but I would ask anyone who may have seen this take place, or anyone acting suspiciously in the three roads to contact police as soon as possible. “In the meantime officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team will be carrying out extra patrols in the roads affected to prevent further incidents from taking place.” Anyone with information is asked to contact the Abbots Langley Safer Neighbourhood Team via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
