Detectives investigating an assault in Hemel Hempstead are appealing for witnesses and information as part of ongoing enquiries.
The incident occurred in Market Square between 12.15am and 12.30am on Sunday, October 27.
It was reported that an altercation had occurred between a group of people, during which a woman was assaulted by a man. She sustained facial injuries which required stitches.
The man is described as white, aged approximately in his mid-twenties, around 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a blue long-sleeved collared top, with full-length bottoms which were dark in colour.
Detective Constable Charlie Eke, from the Dacorum Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing at this time, including a review of CCTV.
“As part of the investigation, we’d also be keen to hear from anyone with information which could assist us in identifying this man and establishing what happened.
“It was reported that the man involved was part of a larger group of males who had been ejected from Copper Bar a short time before the assault occurred.
“If you can help, please get in touch. Thank you.”
