Two local charities in Abbots Langley received a donation from networking group Athena South West Herts & North Middlesex.
The networking group, managed by Debbie Diggle, arranged an Afternoon Tea at Signature Elton House, Bushey in December where networkers enjoyed a raffle and tried their luck with a squares board.
The group raised £600 for local charities DEMAND Design & Manufacture for Disability and Herts Inclusive Theatre.
Debbie Diggle, manager of Athena South West Herts & North Middlesex said: “Our Athena groups have been supporting DEMAND for a number of years and they are an amazing charity to be associated with.”
Denise Gillies, fundraising manager at DEMAND and member of the Athena Network said: “Networking with Athena gives me great opportunities to connect meaningfully with local businesswomen.
“Our thanks go to Athena and all the local businesses who support our work and ensure we can keep providing custom disability equipment that changes lives.”
