DISAPPOINTING: Kings lose at home

Published on: 14th September 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Kings Langley F.C

An inspiring penalty save from the Kings keeper was the only positive out of the game as they lost 0-2 at home to Hednesford Town.

The first 45 minutes saw no goals but a lot of action, but the main talking point came from Kings keeper.

Melvin Minter’s penalty save on the 18th minute prevented his side from going 0-1 down and spurred his side on to get the games first goal.

Kings forward McKeown was at the forefront of every attack for the home side and was unlucky to not get a first half goal for his efforts.

Despite the penalty, the Kings defence shut down every attack from the visitors.

A poor start to the second half saw the visitors grab an early goal after a scrappy bit of play in the box. It was a great finish by Elliot. 0-1.

A great piece of play by the visitors saw them take a 0-2 lead after Wells crisp finish.

The visitors were too much for the home side who weren’t clinical enough in front of goal.

Kings next play St Ives Town on Tuesday, September 17.
