Emotional tribute to number one fan

Published on: 2nd February 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

An emotional tribute has been posted on Kings Langley FC’s YouTube page for number one fan, Matt Allcock.

The video shows some of the emotional scenes at KLFC’s home game against Staines Town FC which was the sides first game back since the sudden passing of Matt which was a tribute for their fan.

The game was a ‘pay-what-you-want-entry’ with all proceeds going to Matt’s family.

The video shows the two sides being applauded onto the pitch whilst being led out on the pitch by Matt’s daughters, Evie May and Helen Jane.

The game which saw Kings win 3-1, also saw the club achieve a record attendance at their ground (1,072) which raised an amazing £22,590 for his family.

Matt, who ran the clubs sponsor, Heatfix, collapsed after attending their away game against Weymouth FC last month and sadly couldn’t be revived.

In the video, a short tribute at the end is spoken in the background with pictures of Matt and friends being shown.

The tribute said: “Matt Allcock loved by everyone, was a man of many hearts, a husband, a father, a business owner, an organiser, an orchestrator, a club sponsor, a football supporter and most of all he was our friend, RIP Matt.”
