Young patients on the children’s ward at Watford Hospital are in for an ‘egg-cellent’ Easter following a donation of more than 600 chocolate eggs by a local recruitment company. Tate, who are based in St Albans, launched an appeal asking clients and candidates to donate Easter eggs for the ward. Tate visited the ward to hand them out on March 31 much to the delight of the young patients and their parents. Dr Mike van der Watt, Medical Director said: “On behalf of our young patients, their families and our staff, I would like to say a huge thank you to Tate for their support. I’d also like to thank all of the people who donated so many eggs. I know they won’t go to waste. “It’s never nice being in hospital, let alone at Easter. I’m sure Tate’s kind donation will help cheer the children up!” The eggs will be shared with children who are staying on the ward over Easter, as well as with children attending outpatient appointments. This is the fourth year Tate have supported the ward.
