With the elections for Herts County Council tomorrow, the battle for your votes is nearly over. Locals will have a choice of candidates at the ballot box when voting opens on May 4, and polling stations will open at 7am and close at 10pm. Standing for Three Rivers rural, is the Conservative Party candidate Chris Hayward, who will come up against Dennis Goffin of the Green Party, Bruce Prochnik from Labour, Liberal Democrat Phil Williams, and Andrews Wells from UKIP. The Conservatives currently have a majority at County Hall, holding 46 of Hertfordshire’s 78 seats. An additional seat was created in 2013. Boundary changes to electoral divisions will take effect at this election following a review by the Local Government Boundary Commission. Elections will take place for every seat on the councils, and those elected will remain in post for the next four years.
