Watford-born heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua spent over seven million pounds on property in 12 months, including three properties in Watford.
An exclusive from The Mirror revealed that between March 2019 and March 2020, Anthony Joshua spent £7.5 million on homes, and now owns three Watford homes worth a total of £1.5 million.
Documents filed to Companies House from Joshua’s firm 258 Investments Ltd show he has more than twelve properties.
His fortune grew by £60m in a year after bumper fights against Andy Ruiz Jr.
31-year-old Joshua, who holds three of the four top heavyweight belts, WBA, WBO and IBF, is set to fight rival Tyson Fury later this year. It is rumoured that the highly anticipated fight could take place around June.
On February 23, Anthony Joshua told his 3.2 million Twitter followers: “Another positive meeting with @258mgt. They’ve informed me things are shaping up nicely. They will be sharing the update with Eddie and you’ll be hearing from me soon”
COVID-19 restrictions over the past year have complicated negotiations between Joshua and Fury’s teams in finalising the fight that will crown an undisputed heavyweight champion.
Earlier this month, Anthony Joshua told Sky News: “The pandemic is getting close to things being normal. We’re working on a date for around June.
“So if Tyson is serious, which I think he is, he’ll know where to come and find the boss. I’m ready. I’m really looking forward to competition – all I want to do is fight, fight, fight!”
