A total of 25 Chorleywood Brownies and Guides recently enjoyed an exclusive Girlguiding day at Hertfordshire Zoo.
The Hertfordshire Zoo Takeover Day was packed with adventure, fun, animals and even dinosaurs. More than 2,000 Girlguiding members came together from across the country to fill the zoo with laughter, excitement, and friendship.
One attendee said: “It was amazing seeing so many animals close up.”
Another added: “I liked the reptile house because I had never been in one before.”
The Guides were delighted to have the freedom to explore on their own, as the zoo was not open to the general public.
One member said: “We liked being independent and that we could go around on our own.”
Girlguiding enables girls to try new experiences and helps to grow their confidence. More volunteers are needed to empower the next generation of girls. Find out more by emailing rickyandcwooddistrict@girlguidinghertfordshire.org.uk
