A boy from Bushey walked the length of a whole marathon in one night on Saturday, September 21, in support of Cancer Research.
Walking alongside his dad Hitesh and aunt Jigna, Khaden managed to trek 26 miles around London landmarks in a 10 hours and nine minutes, raising £350 for the charity.
Heavy rain did not deter the young sporting star from completing the whole challenge, despite being “very drenched” when he crossed the finish line.
The route started and finished at Battersea Park, taking fundraisers past Shakespeare’s Globe, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Marble Arch.
Khaden’s parents and sister shared that her son was very determined to take on the challenge, and he even refused to take public transport despite the weather conditions.
She shared: “I am so proud of him, at 13 years old to walk 10 hours. We as a family are so proud.”
Hearing about the fundraiser on the news only two weeks before, Khaden booked to complete the incredible challenge with no time for training.
Feeling determined, he had told his parents: “We have got two weeks, let’s try and see if we can do it.”
At the age of 10, Khaden has already completed two 10k races and raised an amazing combined total of £550 for the mental health charity Mencap.
This won’t be the young teen’s last marathon, as his parents shared that he already has plans to sign up to the London Marathon when he turns 16.
