A recent study by Parkdean Resorts placed Watford at number 20 out of 50 UK towns based on various factors.
The study measures the happiness of residents, the crime rate, the number of local businesses, community activities and Facebook pages dedicated to the area.
Watford’s happiness score is a boastful 7.8/10 while also having the sixth highest number of Facebook pages dedicated to the area at a staggering 95 pages.
However, the number of community activities in Watford is only three, which is bottom of the list by a long way.
Second lowest is Horsham with 66 community activities.
Furthermore, the number of local businesses in Watford is only 593 whilst Edinburgh, Bournemouth and Northampton have 998 local businesses – although the population size in Watford is significantly lower than these towns.
The number of crimes in Watford may be the biggest worry at 4,443 whereas Edinburgh has only 124 reported crimes.
