Three arrests following burglary in Watford

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident in Watford on Tuesday.

Police were called at around 10.50pm to report suspicious activity at an address in The Gardens.

Officers attended and, following a search of the area, with assistance from the police helicopter and the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Dog Unit, three people were arrested a short while later.

They are a 33-year-old man of no fixed address, a 32-year-old man of no fixed address and a 24-year-old man from Borehamwood.

All three remain in police custody at this time.

Detective Constable Julie Vint, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Investigations into the incident are continuing and I am appealing for anyone with information to come forward. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have come across items discarded in the area. If you have any information, please contact us.”
