A young Bushey student has taken on yet another epic challenge for charity.
After walking a whole marathon in one night last year, 14-year-old Khaden Mistry decided to put his athleticism to good use once again.
On Saturday, July 5, Watford FC held a Step Up challenge at their Vicarage Road Stadium.
Raising funds for the club’s Community Sports & Education Trust and West Herts Hospitals Charity, participants ran or walked up and down the stands of the 22,000-seater stadium.
Khaden leapt into action and ran the whole way, completing the challenge in an impressive time of 17 minutes and 22 seconds – nearly a whole five minutes ahead of the next participant.
He broke the previous record, which organisers said was around 20 minutes.
Kilma, Khaden’s mum, told BUSHEYnews: “He is a very determined child, so when he puts his mind to something, he does it. He felt a real sense of achievement.”
Next up for Khaden is the Shine Night Walk on Saturday, September 20, in aid of Cancer Research UK. You can donate at www.shorturl.at/UO7Su
