Officers seized more than 50 vodka bottles after stopping a vehicle in Abbots Langley last month.
Whilst on patrol on Tuesday, September 19, officers from Three Rivers Operation Scorpion and Abbots Langley Safer Neighbourhood Team stopped a grey BMW 320D convertible on Hazelwood Lane after checks showed it had no insurance.
After noticing a couple of empty vodka bottles on the front seat, they had cause to breathalyse the driver, who was found to be over the limit.
A police spokesperson said: “Upon a search of the vehicle, over 50 vodka bottles were located in the vehicle. A 44-year-old man from Abbots Langley was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
“The vehicle was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.”
