Published on: 28th May 2025   |   By: Ellie Rose   |   Category: Uncategorized

Poole will be alive with music as Pinner residents from two local choirs are set to take part in a special performance to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Guest soloist from Hatch End Ladies Hilary Pearce will join Harrow Apollo Male Choir for an event at the Parkstone Yacht Club in Poole, Dorset.

The group will celebrate National Making Music Day from 7pm to 9pm on Saturday, June 21, before also singing on the quayside the following day.

Speaking to Pinnernews, choir member Chris Drew said: “All proceeds will go to RNLI and we will even be staying in the training college which will be nice.”

Those who won’t be able to make the trip can catch the group performing at St Anselm’s in Hatch End from 4pm on Sunday, June 1, which will include a retiring collection for church funds.

Harrow Apollo Male Choir, which has been around since 1941, welcomes new members and meets at 8pm every Tuesday evening at St Alban’s Church Hall in North Harrow.
