Batting, throwing, receiving awards and plenty of laughter have summed up the year for Abbots Langley Cricket Club (ALCC), as another chapter draws to a close.
From back-to-the-90s night, beach-themed socials, and ending the year with dinners and even more events, the club has kept members entertained throughout the season.
Bingo and quiz nights continue through the winter, providing regular opportunities for members to come together off the pitch.
Speaking to ABBOTSnews, ALCC captain Jack Bishop said: “Our adult and junior sides (male/female) had a fantastic 2025 season and now we begin to prepare for next summer with a few of our sides already training indoors.
“We hope to use this downtime to look at potential new players that will help continue pushing the club forward, with the long-term goal of reaching the Championship division of the Herts Saracens League.”
As the year closes, it’s clear that the club’s combination of sport, socials and community engagement has made this year a memorable one, proving that life at ALCC is about more than just cricket.
