A moped believed to be involved in a series of anti-social and dangerous riding incidents across Abbots Langley has been seized by police following information provided by residents.
Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team responded to reports of an abandoned vehicle in Stewart Close on Saturday, September 27. They confirmed it matched descriptions connected to recent disturbances, including reports of reckless riding in Leavesden Country Park. The vehicle was later recovered and removed from the area.
Police say the action was made possible thanks to details shared through Herts Connected, the county’s community messaging service, which allows residents to report issues and receive local updates.
Enquiries remain ongoing to identify those responsible for the recent incidents. Officers have encouraged anyone with further information or concerns about anti-social behaviour to contact the police or register with Herts Connected to help improve community safety.
Residents have welcomed the removal of the moped, describing it as a positive step in tackling nuisance riding in the area.
