A pair of burglars bundled their way into a Croxley Green home last week, shouting that they were police officers. At approximately 7.15pm on November 12 two male offenders forced their way through the front door of a property on Yorke Road, whilst the terrified occupants were in the home. The offenders initially attempted to force a couple of downstairs windows before slamming through the front door while shouting “Police, Police”. The offenders then stole a briefcase containing paperwork and a purse containing a small amount of money and bank cards kept in a desk. The males were described wearing black/navy clothes with peaked caps, aged 20-30 years old. Hertfordshire Constabulary is investigating the incident, anyone with information is asked to call 101. Police have also appealed for information over a theft which occurred outside Croxley Guild of Sport on November 1. At around midday a male was walking through the Guild when he was approached by two Eastern European males near to the Fuller Way entrance, who asked for a cigarette. The man put his bag down and started to look for his cigarettes, after which one of the Eastern European males grabbed his bag and they both ran off down Fuller Way. The main offender is described to be aged 30-35, with black hair, of medium build, 1.7m tall and was wearing a silver and blue shell suit/tracksuit split in the middle. The second male was aged 30-40, with short black hair, slim build, 1.85m tall and was wearing a brown top and tan jeans.
