KIDNAP ATTEMPT: Woman grabbed and forced into car in Chalfont St Peter

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident of kidnapping in Chalfont St Peter.

At around 7.35pm on Friday, July 19, the offender grabbed the victim, a woman in her twenties, picked her up and put her into the front passenger seat of a dark coloured Audi on Market Place. The offender then drove towards High Street.

Witnesses saw the victim screaming and asking the offender to leave her alone.

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries and is now safe.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sarah Lansley said: “We are specifically appealing for the members of the public of witnessed this incident to please get in touch.

“We would also ask anyone who may have dashcam footage or CCTV of the incident to please come forward.

“If you are one of the people who intervened in the incident, or you have footage or witness information, please make a report online or call 101 quoting reference 43240344628.

“If you do not wish to speak to the police you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
