The Abbots in Transition volunteer group has announced several upcoming spring projects, and are appealing for volunteers to take part.
As part of the worldwide Transition Network, the organisation works towards improving the general look of the village and its sustainability.
The first event is part of an improvement project organised by West Midlands Trains, with work commencing to beautify the area surrounding Kings Langley railway station. This get-together will begin on the morning of April 15, and will see the planting of insect-friendly plants.
Following this will be an event for anyone looking to start growing their own vegetables, taking place at the Millennium Gardens from 10.30am to 1.30pm on May 13. Seeds and seedlings will be given away, with the group also accepting seed and seedling donations.
Finally, the group’s regular litter-picking events are set to start up again. The first will take place on April 22 at Leavesden Country Park.
