Players from Croxley Guild Bowls Club have secured a fantastic win this month, coming out on top in the first round of the prestigious Bowls England Ladies Top Club competition.
The team took part in their first match against Berkhamsted Bowls Club on Sunday, June 8.
The Croxley team triumphed on three rinks out of four in what the club described as “a huge achievement and real team effort”.
Marking a great start to their Top Club journey, this achievement put the ladies through to the next round, where they beat Potters Bar to get through to the semi-finals.
The Croxley club will now play Herts Bowls Club on Saturday, July 5, as CROXLEYnews goes to print.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, June 11, the club hosted the Ladies Watford and District Presidents match.
Speaking with CROXLEYnews, the club shared: “It was a fantastic afternoon, filled with laughter and friendly competition. After the game, everyone enjoyed a lovely two-course meal.”
