The festive season is fast approaching and with it come all the heart-warming community events that residents look forward to every year.
The ever-popular Rickmansworth Winter Fair returns to the town centre from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, November 28. Festive stalls will line the High Street and many shops will be open for residents to shop, socialise and eat. There will be live music, fairground rides, Santa’s grotto and much more.
The event will also feature the Christmas lights switch-on.
Councillor Andrea Fraser, chair of Batchworth Community Council (BCC), told RICKYnews: “This is one of the most important events of the year in our town and people come from all around to shop and listen to local groups singing. The community atmosphere is infectious and many of the retailers stay open late with treats for all the family.”
This will be followed by BCC’s Sunday High Street Market from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Sunday, November 30.
The Christmas lights switch-on at Eastbury Recreation Ground will take place on the same day at 5.30pm.
