Two cars were nearly involved in a collision on Kings Langley High Street, resulting in one swerving into the village’s newest restaurant.
Reports came in that a car had been seen yesterday evening (August 14), having crashed into the front of Kings Langley’s new bistro Matilda’s, which only opened in June this year.
A spokesperson from Herts Police confirmed that: “Police were called at around 6.55 pm yesterday evening (August 14) to reports of a road traffic collision on Kings Langley High Street. The collision involved a black Mazda CX-3 and a grey Nissan Qashqai, however, the two cars did not actually collide.
“Upon enquiries being done, a near miss between the two vehicles caused the Mazda to swerve out of the way, this in turn caused the Mazda to collide with ‘Matilda’s’, a café on the high street. All vehicles remained at the scene and no injuries were sustained as a result of the collision.”
