The festive season is fast approaching and with it come all the heart-warming community events that residents look forward to every year.
The traditional Lantern Parade returns to Chorleywood on Friday, December 5, to light up the skies and kick off the fun off the festive season.
The parade will set off from two locations, The Russell School and St Andrew’s Church, at 4.45pm. They will meet at the main stage in Lower Road where participants will then be able to enjoy the Christmas Festival from 4.30pm to 8pm.
Residents and visitors can enjoy street food, stalls, fairground rides, Santa’s grotto and festive music from local schools and music groups. Chorleywood Community Orchard will also be attending and offering mulled cider and bottled apple juice.
Ahead of the parade, lantern-making sessions will take place at The Russell School from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday, November 23; The Bridge at St Andrew’s Church from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, November 29; and Chorleywood Scout Hut from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, November 30.
