A Watford-based charity was honoured to attend a reception hosted at Downing Street.
The homeless charity, Hand on Heart (HOH) was grateful to be invited by the Prime Minister for an Eid – a worldwide festival and celebration for Muslims – reception at Number 10 Downing Street on May 4.
The event celebrated contributions by British Muslims and British Muslim Heritage, bringing together cultural and social diversity.
The HOH Spring Homeless campaign showed how people of various faiths can work together to aid the homeless. The Spring campaign, which ran throughout Ramadan, a holy month of sacrifice, charity, and kindness, focused on charitable giving and serving humanity.
HOH’s co-founder Afzal Pradhan BEM said: “The invite to Downing Street speaks volumes on how far HOH have come on our journey to serve in humanity. However, we need to continue our dialogue with the authorities and voice our concerns and raise awareness on the desperate plight on our streets.”
