A man had a glass thrown in his face in the Prince of Wales pub in Rickmansworth, before being punched and robbed of £70.

The incident, which happened between 10pm and 10.15pm on Tuesday, May 1 happened when the victim, a man in his 40s, was approached by the robber, who began verbally abusing the victim before throwing the glass in his face.

The victim tried to flee the scene, but as he did, he was punched in the face and ordered to hand over cash.

The robber is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, of average to heavy build and wearing a dark jacket, jeans, and a Tottenham FC cap.

Following the robbery, three men helped the injured victim and took him to A&E in Hillingdon in a white BMW.

These three men are described as Asian and in their early to mid-20. Police are keen to speak to them as part of their enquiries, but the three men left no details.

Detective Constable Nicola Stewart, from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit, said: “We would like to speak to the three men who kindly helped the victim after he was assaulted and robbed.

“I would like to stress that they are not in any trouble at all, but they may have witnessed what happened and therefore have information that could help progress our investigation.”

Anyone with any information that could help identify the three men or the robber is asked to email DC Nicola Stewart on nicola.stewart@herts.pnn.police.uk quoting crime reference number C2/18/1306 or you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.
