A Northwood dance group is celebrating after its very first public performance at a charity event.
Kids and young teens from Kelly’s School of Dance (KSD), which holds classes at Emanuel Church hall, took part in Relay for Life last month, an event put together by Cancer Research UK.
The children performed three routines to an excited audience on the athletics track at Harrow School’s sports club on Garlands Lane.
Kelly White who runs the club said: “The children were excited and nervous at the same time they danced exceptionally well and were really professional.”
Relay for Life is a unique 24 hour celebration of life and hope which unites the local community to help beat cancer. Teams of between eight to 15 people, of all ages, levels of fitness and from all walks of life take it in turns to walk round a track while everyone else enjoys a wide range of fun activities on offer, including live music.
