FACE-OFF: Chalfont St Peter’s unbeaten run comes to an end

Published on: 14th September 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Chalfont St Peter A.F.C

Chalfont St Peter’s unbeaten run came to an end this afternoon (September 14) as Ware FC continued theirs in the Isthmian South Central Division with a 2-1 victory.

Ware were the better side in the first half, and thanks to some luck, were able to secure a 2-0 lead.

Leigh Rose and Alaa Oujdi scored for the home side leaving The Saints looking for a big second half perofrmance.

That unfortunately didn’t happen despite Callum Doyle (not Arash Abdollah) neatly netting an 89 the minute goal past the goalkeeper and defender on the line.

Next, The Saints face another away fixture at Hertford Town on Tuesday night (September 17), a side that are struggling in the league and suffered a 1-9 defeat at the hands of table toppers Westfield.
