A schoolgirl from Watford is raising money for an ambulance charity in lieu of birthday presents for the eighth year in a row.
Lucy Nutton, who is celebrating her ninth birthday on March 13, has asked her family to once again swap birthday presents for a donation to Lucy Air Ambulance for Children.
She has been fundraising since she was two years old and has raised more than £2,200 for the charity which is the only charity in the UK that flies children to hospital in an aeroplane fitted with state-of-the-art equipment.
Commenting on this incredible support, charity CEO Charlotte Young said: “We are so very grateful for Lucy’s immense generosity and kind compassion for our charity. She is a wonderful example of a young philanthropist and will always be a treasured part of our Lucy Family.”
Lucy is hoping to raise more than last year in which she raised £481, her highest amount since she began fundraising.
