Published on: 18th January 2022   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

The people of Chorleywood Beaumont care home got an unexpected visitor recently as Banjo the pony arrived to provide cheer all around.

Residents and care staff enjoyed the stopover from Banjo, and his handler Sharon, who himself appreciated the treats and attention he got.

Banjo was provided by Buckinghamshire-based company Ollie & Friends, who organise visits from horses and ponies specifically for private party and therapy purposes, though visits to hospices and care homes, as this was, are provided free of charge.

General Manager, Nick Wrapson said: “We had the best time with Banjo, he is such a gorgeous Pony. Our residents loved spending time with him, I do hope Banjo from Ollie and Friends come back to visit us soon.”

Ann Rees, resident at Chorleywood Beaumont, run by Barchester Healthcare, said: “It was so lovely to see Banjo and to give him a stroke. He was absolutely beautiful.”
