A new care home in Bushey has opened its doors for prospective residents and their families to have a look around as construction nears completion.
Building work on Elton House, owned by Signature, started last year and the home is already attracting a great deal of attention due to its state-of-the-art décor and unique design.
Elton House will provide 71 apartments that will vary from studios to one-bedroom suites and will offer residential and nursing care. There will also be specialist care for those living with dementia, with 24 rooms available.
Based on a nature theme, the home will feature a cinema, restaurants, spa, hairdressers, therapy room and several activity rooms. There will also be a grand garden and underground car park.
One of the main aims of the home is to take away the ‘care home’ label and make residents feel like they are there to enjoy themselves, reminiscent of staying at a hotel or on board a luxury cruise ship.
Building work is hoped to be completed by the summer.
