Police are appealing for witnesses, information and video footage following an incident in Hemel Hempstead yesterday, Wednesday, October 12.
At around 3.20pm, officers spotted a dark blue Citroen Picasso in Warners End, which had been reported as stolen.
The vehicle stopped on Long Chaulden, at the Boxted Road junction, and attempts were made to arrest the driver. Despite efforts to stop the vehicle then moving on, it was driven away from the scene.
A search of the area, including the use of the police helicopter, resulted in the vehicle being found abandoned on Pipit Walk.
Enquires are continuing to locate the driver. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Any witnesses or anyone with information or dash cam footage, including of the Citroen prior to the incident, are urged to contact police.
The incident was filmed by pedestrians nearby, with one video gaining over 14,000 views on social media platform TikTok.
