What would you do if tonight you had no bed to sleep in? For hundreds of people facing homelessness in Hertfordshire, this is a daily reality.
On Friday, November 21, Dacorum-based homelessness charity DENS have announced the return of their popular Sponsored Sleepout, with free places available for everyone in the community.
Taking place at Hammond Academy in Hemel Hempstead, the event promises a powerful evening of solidarity, community spirit, and entertainment.
Open to adults and children aged eight and over, the night will include fun activities, live music, and an insightful Q&A about the charity’s vital work.
When it is time to go to sleep, participants will experience a glimpse of the harsh conditions faced by rough sleepers during the winter months
Charlotte McCarthy, community fundraiser at DENS, said: “We’re determined to make this our biggest Sponsored Sleepout ever. It’s an inspiring way to come together as a community.”
The event is sponsored by Safran Electrical & Power UK. To book your free place at the Sleepout, visit www.dens.org.uk/sleepout25
