Kings Langley residents are being invited to speak up on future development in the village after the extension of the Three Rivers Local Plan consultation.
The Local Plan laid out by Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) proposes to build 974 houses on Kings Langley green belt and residents can now have their say until August 20.
Kings Langley District & Residents’ Association (KL&DRA) want to stress to villagers that their comments really can make a difference.
Gary Ansell, chair of KL&DRA said Kings Langley’s future depends on residents responding.
He said: “I cannot stress enough that to stand any chance of initiating that change, Kings Langley residents, in as great a number as possible, need to respond individually to the consultation.
“There is a danger that if Kings Langley does not produce a big enough response, then our two local Councils, through their respective Local Plan processes, could push further development onto us because objections were greater in other areas. There are various ways to respond: online, by email and by letter.”
