The annual Watford RFC beer festival takes place from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th July in the clubhouse on Radlett Road, Watford. As well as the obvious attraction for beer and cider lovers, there are a number of rugby related events taking place over the weekend.
On the Thursday there will as usual be the trade day until 3pm, then open to the public until 10pm.
On the Friday the festival will be open to the public from 12pm. There will be an open 16+ mixed tag rugby session. All over 16s are very welcome, whatever your experience. Close is at 10pm
On Saturday doors open at 12pm and the day features the very popular fancy dress 7s. This year teams include: Glarock; Playboy Bunnies; Baywatch; George Michael; Back, Sack and Michelak; and the Pied Pipers. Close is at 12am.
This year for the first time there will be a Mini and Junior fun session on the Sunday, starting at 10:30am. Anyone from 9 to 18 is welcome to rock up and join in. There will be a touch rugby tournament; BBQ; Tug of War; “Coconut” shy and the passing target/tackle bag relay. The festival doors open at 12pm and close … later.
