Watford were denied a dramatic late point against Manchester United, in a rollercoaster final five minutes. Bastian Schweinsteiger fired home in injury time to snatch all the three points for the visitors after Troy Deeney’s 86 minute penalty had drawn the Hornets level. United started the better side, and it took just 11 minutes for Memphis Depay to volley them into the lead. The Red Devils failed to capitalise on their first half dominance however and could not find a second goal before the break. Flores’ men came out for the second half in much better fashion and soon started to pressurise their openants. However it took until the 86th minute for Watford to find a leveller after in-from Ighalo was hauled down by Rojo inside the box and referee Bobby Madley pointed to the spot. Captain Deeney fired home to the delight of the home fans but their jubilation was short lived. Schweinsteiger drilled the match winning goal in from a tight angle, and via a deflection off Deeney, after Gomes has saved Lingard’s attempt.
