Village school gives students a taste of the future

Published on: 14th July 2017   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

120 founding students of a new school got a taste of what life will be like when the new academic year starts in September when they spent a day there last month. After an evening was held for parents and students of Croxley Danes School at which they had the chance to meet their form tutors and fellow classmates, the students returned to the Clare Building on the St Clement Danes School site in Chorleywood which will be their home until September 2018. They sampled a range of lessons in science, technology, music and PE. The students’ excitement about the new school was evident, which delighted headteacher Stephen Thompson. He commented: “We were delighted to welcome our students to the school. They are an impressive group of young people who I am sure will become fantastic ambassadors for the school over the next seven years.” The school will be based at its permanent site at the bottom of Baldwins Lane, Croxley Green, from September 2018. The school will be holding an open evening for interested parents on September 26 from 7pm. Interested parents can sign up to receive updates by visiting http://www.croxleydanes.org.uk/6/contact-us
