Bovingdon MarketPolice are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in the car park at Bovingdon Market.

A green Seat Leon was reported to have been driven erratically around the car park at around 1.10pm on Saturday, October 11. A man in his late 20s suffered cuts and grazes after he was allegedly involved in a collision with the vehicle. The vehicle then drove off. Detective Constable Anthony Hooper, who is investigating, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the car park at the time and saw what happened to contact me. I would also like to hear from anyone who believes they saw the vehicle being driven in the area that afternoon.” A 21-year-old man from St Albans has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail until November 12. Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Hooper via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference D1/14/6180. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
