A local estate agency has once again helped to make Pinner’s St George’s Day community celebrations possible.
Gibbs Gillespie which has offices on the High Street and in Chapel Lane has agreed to continue its sponsorship of the event for a second consecutive year.
This followed Harrow Council cutting back on its support of the event, leaving its future uncertain.
The multi award winning agency teamed up with the event’s organisers, The Rotary Club of Pinner, when its co-founder James Gibbs met the club’s event leader Steve Morrisby.
James Gibbs, said: “When Steve Morrisby approached me last year and told me about the situation it was instantly something we wanted to help and support.
“I’m a big fan of the event and it brings the community together in a way that’s only matched by the Pinner Fair and the Pinner Pantomime Evening. We’re delighted and proud to be able to help and get involved in making it possible.
“Supporting the community we serve is a big part of what our agency does regularly.”
Steve Morrisby said: “We are really grateful to Gibbs Gillespie for helping this popular community event to continue.”
The event will take place in Pinner on St. George’s Day, Sunday 23rd April 2017, and features the traditional wheel barrow race, live music and children’s shows and rides.
