Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a road traffic collision on the M25 yesterday (Wednesday, July 21).

At around 10.25am a black Vauxhall Corsa and a white van travelling through the road works between junctions 20 and 21 on the eastbound carriageway (just before the windmill) collided for reasons unknown at this stage.

A 53-year-old man from Aylesbury, who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa, was taken to Watford General Hospital by air ambulance. He is currently in a critical condition.

PC Ian Breacher, investigating, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was travelling on that section of the motorway at around 10.25am yesterday who may have seen the collision to get in touch with us on 0845 33 00 222.”
