Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the theft of a dumper truck in Bushey. Between 4.30pm on Wednesday November 4 and 7am the following day, offenders have forced entry to a building site on Grange Road via an access point on neighbouring Belmont Road. They have then taken property including the dumper truck, a plate compactor, disc cutter and other hand tools. The offenders also tried to take a digger but were unsuccessful. Police investigating the incident have released an image of the dumper truck in order to help trace it. PC Phil Tuck, from the Bushey and Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the offence to get in touch. If you have seen this truck recently or have any information about the whereabouts any of the stolen items, please contact me via the police non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number J2/15/1192.” Alternatively contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will never need to go to court.
