Watford climb the table to ninth position following their draw against Chelsea, keeping the Golden Boys only one win away from seventh place, ahead of Saturday’s clash with Tottenham. Watford dominated the first half with multiple opportunities to take an early lead against Chelsea. José Holebas sent a cross in to Odion Ighalo in the 25th minute but failed to find the net from inside the six-yard box. Chelsea came back into the second half with constant attacks, made even more dangerous by the addition of Hazard to the team. Heurelho Gomes made an outstanding save as Branislav Ivanovic went for goal from close range, but the Watford goalkeeper managed to block the attempt, knocking it out for a corner. Suarez came off the bench to make his debut for Watford in the 87th minute as attacks on the Watford goal continued. Heurelho Gomes was named man of the match, clawing away a header from Diego Costa in the final minutes of the game and keeping his first clean sheet since December 20. Flores: “We’re happy. We’ve shown we can get points against the big teams. You see it against Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham.” CHELSEA (4-2-3-1): Courtois; Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Mikel, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Oscar; Costa. WATFORD (4-3-1-2): Gomes; Paredes, Cathcart, Prodl, Holebas; Capoue, Watson, Behrami; Jurado; Ighalo, Deeney (c)
