Bookwagon was launched six weeks ago. Former teacher and children’s reading expert Bronnie Mayho responded to concerns from parents and schools about children’s reading when setting up Bookwagon six weeks ago. “Bookwagon is an online children’s bookshop that sells only books that we’ve read and loved. We know every title,” says director, Bronnie Mayho. “In my teaching career, I loved matching readers to great books, and seeing a wonderful reading relationship develop. It continues with Bookwagon, but I’m able to focus on that, rather than be concerned by other pressures that come the way of schools. A love of reading is the most important thing that any parent or teacher can encourage in a child, and Bookwagon aims to support this development.” Bookwagon offers parents an opportunity to consult with them privately about their children’s specific reading needs either online, or in person. “We’re proud of our wide variety and range of titles. I’m proud to hear customers say that they didn’t know of certain books, or they’re going to follow up on an author who was unknown previously. Not every book is written by Enid Blyton, J.K. Rowling, David Williams or Roald Dahl. It’s a world of reading choice!” suggests Bronnie Mayho. Bookwagon is already booked up well into the new school year, with author visits and book fairs in a number of leading Hertfordshire and London schools. “In my last teaching leadership role, I became concerned that book fairs were uninformed. Wiling readers, clutching their pocket money or book tokens would buy the latest title linked to a movie franchise, or be directed to a title that had no wonder. We love working with children that they find books they will love.” You can contact Bookwagon through email:- info@bookwagon.co.uk or telephone:- 07928318540, or view our website, subscribe to our blogs:- www.bookwagon.co.uk
