Dozens of children, mums, dads and grandparents attended the official opening of the newly refurbished play area in Bedmond. The refurbished play area has got something for everyone with even more inclusive and exciting play equipment for children aged two to 14 years old to enjoy. The new play equipment includes a play tower, climbing net, zip wire, basket swing, flying saucers, toddler and junior swings. The Chairman of Three Rivers District Council, Diane Barber and The Chairman of Abbots Langley Parish Council, Elizabeth Burns conducted a joint official opening ceremony on June 15, to celebrate the play area Cllr Burns said “Abbots Langley Parish Council is really pleased that the newly refurbished play area is being used so much by the local community residents and with the range of equipment on offer for children and young people in the parish.” Further improvements are being worked on to develop the recreational and arts/cultural facilities in Abbots Langley.
