The latest police statistics show crime in Croxley Green reached a 2015 low in April, having decreased every month since the turn of the year. The most recent figures available on the police.uk website show that 23 crimes were reported in Croxley Green in April, down from 25 in the previous month. However, almost half the crimes reported for April were due to anti-social behaviour (ASBO). Ten ASBOs were handed out in April as opposed to just six in March. However, every other crime from March was down. Violence and sexual offences cases dropped from four to three and drugs crimes, robberies and other thefts were also down. In the case of drugs and robberies none were reported last month. The downward crime trend may, however, not last too long. Traditionally, crime rises during the warmer months of the year when people are more likely to leave windows, doors and sheds unlocked. Last year there were 50 crimes reported in the village in May, 69 in June, 55 in July and 66 in August. For more information about keeping your home safe and secure visit www.herts.police.uk
