Charity benefits from Ricky’s flipping estate agents

The Rickmansworth office of award winning estate agents Gibbs Gillespie played its part in raising thousands of pounds for charity by competing in the town’s annual Pancake Day Race. Watford Mencap who organised the popular event on Tuesday February 17 handed the Gibbs Gillespie team an honorary frying pan for its continued support of the traditional countdown to Easter. The race consists of a relay up and down Rickmansworth’s  High Street while the runners try to flip their pancakes without dropping them. This year Gibbs Gillespie fielded separate boys and girls teams raising more than £150. The staff swapped their suits for shorts and trainers and finished a very respectable second out of a field of 16 competitors drawn from local businesses. Phillip Smith, Senior Negotiator, said: “It is the seventh year we’ve been involved and it is always a superb community event. The weather this year was nice and sunny meaning the route of the race was packed with people cheering us and the other teams on. “It was a lot of fun and collectively thousands were raised by the competitors for Watford Mencap.”
