A Pinner businessman is celebrating after his company was shortlisted in two categories of a prestigious London wide business competition.
Firoz Hussein runs the Foot Comfort Centre in Wembley which has made the finals in the Best Customer Service and Health and Care Business of the Year categories in the FSB London Business Awards organised by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
Firoz a father of three who has lived in the village since 2007, founded the business, which provides family foot and ankle care and footwear, 20 years ago.
It began life in a spare room in his former home, next door to the current clinic, looking after people’s foot and ankle issues.
Firoz was delighted to hear of his company’s success in being judged ahead of hundreds of other businesses across the capital.
He said: “We’ve grown a lot since 1997 and have invested heavily in every aspect of the Foot Comfort Centre. Our goal is to give our clients the best levels of care, service and advice.
“Being recognised as one of the best customer service businesses in London is fantastic. But when we heard we had also made the finals in the Health and Care Business of the Year category it was a double delight.”
He added: “I’ll be attending with my wife and three daughters and members of our team. This recognition of the company is only made possible through the relentless support of my family and the hard work, enthusiasm and experience of our team who are like an extension of my family anyway.”
An FSB spokesman said: “The awards recognise local businesses which have excelled in their fields and shown a high level of quality, care, hard work, enterprise and innovation.”
The winners will be announced on Thursday 20 July at the Emirates Stadium, north London.
